Handmade reusable fabric bags now available at co-op

Co-op member Lucy P. fulfills her shift by making these cotton bags, which debut this week at the co-op. After soliciting feedback from members, she designed the bags which are made from organic cotton sourced from Texas. They have a drawstring, and the co-op logo and tare (weight) is hand stamped.

They are appropriate as substitutes for the classic bags that come on a roll in the produce and dry goods aisles. They can carry rice, flour, or a head of lettuce or kale, or some mushrooms. Veggies can be stored in the crisper in them as well. The bags cost $2.50 each and can be washed with regular laundry.
