Kale Chips!
INGREDIENTS:
1 medium sized bunch of green kale
1 or 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon of tamari
1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 300 degrees
De-stem and wash kale
Rip kale into pieces the size of 1/2 a dollar bill
Place kale into a large mixing bowl
Mix the oil, vinegar and tamari together in a small bowl
Drizzle that mixture over the kale and toss together ensuring all pieces are covered
Spread kale pieces onto 2 cookie sheets making sure that they aren’t too crowded
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast over each cookie sheet of kale
Salt and pepper to taste
Bake for 10-20 minutes until all the pieces are dry to the touch
The time varies due to variations in the moisture level of the kale
Check kale frequently to avoid any burnt pieces
SUGGESTIONS:
These can be made raw also. Just dehydrate instead of baking in the oven.
